The Big Spring community is grieving the loss of Devin Rickabaugh, whose passing has prompted an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from classmates, lifelong friends, and loved ones.
As news spread, social media quickly filled with memories celebrating a man many described as an exceptional husband, devoted father, loyal friend, and someone who always brought warmth and positivity to those around him.
Rickabaugh was known by many in the Big Spring area from his childhood through adulthood. Friends recalled growing up with him, playing sports together, attending school, and later watching him build a loving family of his own.

Lifelong Friends Remember His Kindness and Character

Looking back, Wardle said he admired watching Rickabaugh become a family man, adding that from afar it was easy to see how much he loved his wife Amanda Jo and their children.
In his tribute, Wardle wrote, “My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Amanda Jo, his kids, his parents, his close friends, and all who knew and loved him. What a painful loss for our class.”

“There will never be another like him. I am blessed to have known you man. I’m gonna miss you brother. God’s grass must have been getting weedy. He called the best. Miss ya and love ya bro till we meet again.”
