John Slattery Reveals Why Reuniting With Jon Hamm for Celebrity Sex Pass Was an Easy Yes
Fans of Mad Men are getting another long-awaited reunion as John Slattery and Jon Hamm return to the screen together in the new comedy Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass. During a recent appearance on TODAY, Slattery reflected on working with his longtime friend and former co-star, saying the opportunity was too good to pass up.

“I read it right away and called him back almost immediately,” Slattery shared, adding that saying yes to the project was an easy decision because of both the script and his friendship with Hamm.
The film, directed by David Wain, features an ensemble cast led by Zoey Deutch. The comedy follows Gail Daughtry, a bride-to-be whose fiancé uses his celebrity “sex pass.” In response, Gail heads to Los Angeles hoping to use her own celebrity pass—with Jon Hamm himself becoming the target of her hilarious mission. Both Hamm and Slattery appear in the film as fictional versions of themselves, adding another layer of comedy to the story.
Although audiences continue to associate the pair with their iconic performances in Mad Men, Slattery said their friendship has remained strong long after the series ended. He described working with Hamm again as effortless, noting that they understand each other’s comedic timing without needing much discussion on set.
